Fool's Journey Day 5
With The Vice Versa deck the original side is called This Side and the added side is called That Side. There is no good side or bad side or right side and reverse side. It simply another aspect of the card. The next step on our journey is 4 - The Emperor This side: The Emperor sits on his throne, wearing full armor etched with a sun face, deep lines on his face which expresses his strength and care... he has great responsibilities. A gold orb floats above one hand, dominion of the world, and he holds a golden ankh in the other. On his crown, the symbol for Mars. In a reading: While The Empress is loving and nurturing, her partner, The Emperor, is more stern and commanding. He likes structure and solidity. He looks to the future and builds things to last a lifetime. When he comes to you, look at your legacy. What can you build or expand? What to you want to leave behind? That side: here the Emperor looks out onto his lands. Blue skies bring good fortunes, covering a sheltered valley. From here he can keep watch over all in his care and he draws his power from those sources etched into his throne. Sun energy, sulfur, the moons feminine power (embodied by the Empress) In a reading: Be proud of your accomplishments, you handle your responsibilities well. But all the strict structure is taking it's toll now. Not all things need to be set in stone so leave room for growth and change.
