The Emperor
Structure and order. Crossing the T's and dotting the I's. Getting things done. The Emperor gives you stability and security by taking care of business and managing the day to day. A great time for leadership and thinking logically to tie up loose ends or control chaos when too much is going on around you. Stick to plans, categorize and organize. Once you get the basics taken care of and groundwork layed you can relax knowing you got it done and can concentrate on other things. The Art of Life quote is a great summary: "First say to yourself what you would be: and then do what you have to do." - Epictetus Osho Zen Tarot - Thunderbolt XVI 🔥 The equivalent of the tarot decks, Tower card, this is an earth shaking upheaval. Your sense of security is feeling challenged and you want to grab hold tightly but you must let it go. If you allow this inner earthquake to happen, you will learn so much and emerge from this much stronger. After this storm, the air clears and is calm again. Try not to get too caught up in the destruction. You know it's happening, you know it has to happen but try to face it calmly, knowing once it is over things will be better. Wild Unknown Animal Spirit - Swan - water energy 🌊 This is a effortless creative energy. The fluid realm of writing, creating and reflecting. A potent healing energy not to be taken lightly. When swan energy shows up your soul is calling for attention. Some solo time. Listen to your inner voice, it has things to tell you. In balance - infinite and creative power out of balance - agitated, lacking vision to bring balance - take time to be alone, write or journal your thoughts Taken together: Maybe taking the structure and organization of The Emperor, you can create a place of comfort for yourself. Knowing the big things are taken care of you can relax and have a place to retreat to when things get chaotic. Using the fluid creativity of the Swan, you listen to your inner voice when things start to spiral, find time to be alone and again using the energy of The Emperor, take time to write your thoughts, organize them so the chaos is tamed. #tarotreadersofinstagram #tarotcards#tarot #dailytarotspread#tarotcardoftheday #dailytarot#tarotreading #riderwaitesmithtarot#oshozentarotcards#wildunknownanimalspirit #8ofcups#otterenergy #artoflifetarot #mindfulness#beherenow #shineyourlight #selflove#knowyourself #endlesspossibilities#bemindful #lettinggoisgoodforthesoul#endingisanewbeginning#havecouragetoshine #courage

Tarot Cards of the Day
🍵🌼🌸💐 ** These are so good together!! ** ** 8 of Cups 🍵🍵🍵 * When the time comes we need to walk away from things that are no longer working. Even if we love those things, we find ourselves lagging in energy and restless. Endings are not always easy but if things are no longer working you need to find a new direction and see what is waiting for you there. ** * Osho Zen Tarot - Courage 🌼🌼 This small flower has made its way up through the rocks to shine its warm light. Working through tough circumstances can make us resentful or we can face that challenge and grow with our own warm light. Challenges will be there and we cannot hide from them. If a seed is to become a flower, you need to take the challenges with courage. 🌹 The Art of Life quote is, "in each loss there is a gain, as in every gain there is a loss. And with each ending comes a new beginning" ** ** Wildinknown Animal Spirit ** 🌊 Otter - water energy One of the most playful creatures, the otter is pure bliss. They have a giddiness and reverence for life and otter energy is the playfulness of a child. No doubts or skepticism. Using otter energy, think of what you could accomplish! Out of balance that energy is gloomy with deep sighs. In balance, you are full of love and have all you need. To balance, have a celebration! ✌🎉🎊🎈 ** ** WORKING TOGETHER these cards say that sometimes things are no longer working for us. But if we have the courage to shine our light into the darkness and to find our playful and joyous otter energy, we can find a new direction where great things wait for us!! Osho Zen Tarot 9 - Aloneness ** 🌱 ** There is a difference between being alone and being lonely. Lonely can be hard because you are missing some other person, an absence. But being alone you are actually with yourself. *💟 ** Don't view that alone time in a negative way. Be your own light and develop the capacity to be on your own, be your own guide. 🕯🕯🕯 ** ** The second photo is a close up showing a light emanating from within 💡🕯 * There can be such freedom in solitude!💗🌼✌ ** * #oshozentarotcards #aloneness #dailytarotcard#tarotcardoftheday#tarotreadersofinstagram #tarotcards#readingthetarot #mindfulness#beherenow #beingmindful#beyourownlight #solitude #loveyourself#selflove #freedominsolitude Tarot Card of the Day
10 of Swords ** ** I just recently got the Art of Life deck by Charlene Livingstone and I have to say I really like the art/quotes she chose to illustrate the deck 🎨❤ ** ** The one that really just struck me personally as spot on was this 10 of swords. Because it is so true even if it sucks at the time. Things that hurt can instruct. If we pay attention to the lesson, especially when the trouble stems from my own making. ** * At least for me, that card made a big impression. ☇ ** ** #artoflifetarot #10ofswords#riderwaitesmithtarot#tarotreadersofinstagram #tarot#tarotcards #dailytarotcard#tarotcardoftheday #mindfulness#mindfulmeditation#thosethingsthathurtinstruct #beherenow#wordsofwisdom #learnfromtheexperience Tarot/Oracle Draw of the Day

Knight of Pentacles/Spider ** 🐎🕷🕸 ** Today my focus was on how can I attack the many things I need to do at work today. ** ** Knight of Pentacles - stuffy workhorse. He does plod along and gets things done but he isnt very playful and tends to be obsessive about details. ** ** Spider! Earth spider energy totally takes the stuffy right out of the Knight! Spider energy creates and weaves. Reminds us to be creative. Be process oriented not so much results oriented and your "work," will become a lovely tapestry. 🕸🕸🕸 ** ** So, the Knight gives me the ground to stand firm and the will to get things done. Spider adds the humor and creativity ** To keep Spider balanced? Playful creativity! Perfect for getting my projects done!!🌸😊✌💋💗 ** ** #tarotreadersofinstagram #tarotcards#tarotcardoftheday #dailytarotcard#dailytarot #tarotofthemagicalforest#wildunknownanimalspirit#knightofpentacles #spiderenergy#oraclecards #animalguides #animaltotem#play #beherenow #becreative#mindfulcreativity #playfulcreativity#tarottracker The Knight of Wands I think of this as the sexy ooh la la knight. Passionate, can be reckless and cocky though. Has a lot of creative energy which is awesome but it needs to be tempered with some self control. Use that energy wisely. This Knight can flit about from thing to thing, never staying for long, loves new and exciting things. Which is good, but balance it. Don't get too flighty and don't get too stale. Find a nice compromise. I recently started using the Wild Unknown Animal Spirit Oracle Cards and I am loving the energy these cards bring. Learning a lot from the various animals and how to stay balance. Today's card is Vulture, air energy. As creepy as we may see vultures, they are actually needed to keep nature purified. I mean, they eat the roadkills and other nasties, keeping them from spreading diseases. Vulture appears when there is something going on that needs to be purified. When balanced this energy clarifies and brings wisdom. When out of balance it can be aggressive. To bring that balance back clean your space - maybe sage, purify! Decks shown from top. Dali's Tarot Universal, The Housewives Tarot, then left to right:
The Italian Tarot, The Haindl, The Wild Unknown, Thoth, RWS Radiant The Tarot of the Magical Forest, Marseille, Shadowscapes, Zen Osho deck, Wildwood and Alice in Wonderland. The next biggest question I get asked is how do I choose which deck to use? Mostly it depends on my mood. I can usually tell which deck is going to be best for any given reading or card of the day because I have worked with them all so much. If I have no real pull to any one deck, I will let my fingers decide. Just holding you hand above each deck and waiting to see if the energy from that deck tickles your hand. It's that chi energy that will speak to you. You can also use a pendulum by holding it above the decks and see what it does. At the beginning of my tarot journey I only had 1 deck and I stuck with it until I felt I had mastered its basic meanings and didn't have to keep looking at the book. My very first deck was a Celtic deck and I liked it but the cards were large and I have small hands so it felt like a battle to use it, so I bought a smaller Rider Waite Smith deck and that is the one I learned on. Also, when I first get a new deck, I may work with just that one for a week or more to get the feel for it and how it interacts with me. It can't hurt to start with one deck and then branch out. Once you get the feel for a deck, how and when you use them starts to come naturally. There really is no one way or right way to choosing or using a deck. Do what feels natural to you! Next up: What decks do I own and what decks to I use vs just like to have in my collection. I have had people ask me about reading cards so I thought I would put it all in one post to make it easier to get to.
I have been studying Tarot for 20 some years now and it never ceases to amaze me on how spot on they can be every day. But first starting out they can be confusing and there seems to be a lot going on with the imagery and meanings. First thing to remember is these cards tell you a story. It can be a simple one card story or an entire layout with 12 cards kind of novel. If you are just starting with your first deck, look at all the cards without looking at the LWB (little white book that comes with the cards) and just note your first impressions with each one. Depending on what deck you are using, there will be various images and a feel to the cards. Above I have several decks showing what today's card is, The 7 of Cups or Chalices. The middle card is from one of the most familiar decks, Rider Waite Smith, the first card is based on that, The Tarot of The Magical Forest and the third card is the Tarot of Marseilles deck, which can be tricky as the Minor Arcana are not illustrated like the RWS decks are. Use your intuition and tell yourself the story that the card seems to be telling you. Then look at the LWBs definition. The books give you a basic overview of the imagery, iconography, historical meanings and they are very useful in giving you a base to learn from. But like in dream reading, follow your heart and what is most meaningful to you. What rings true to one person may not be the same for you. I use the cards to practice mindfulness. I look at the attributes of the cards and ask myself how I can integrate the positive attributes into my day as well as how I can work on the more negative attributes. I read their story and then decide how I can improve where I am right now. The future is fluid and nothing is set in stone. What I read today can change at any point in time and the smallest of changes can move mountains, so I try to keep the positives and rework the negatives. Looking at today's card, 7 of Cups. I tend to use decks based on the RWS decks as I like the imagery. We see 7 cups filled with all sorts of dream-like things. This card can be about wishful thinking, wishing you had "stuff," or even letting your imagination run loose. There is a LOT of stuff in those cups too, so you can almost have too many things going on, too many choices can make it hard to narrow things down. So, a lot of things may need to be pared down and put into some sort of order. Find a nice middle ground of orderly to a little creative chaos. It's always good to find that middle ground to work from. If you are just starting out, reading books can be a huge help in learning more about Tarot cards. Here is a list of some of my favorite books and it can be a good place to jump off from. Clicky for books. I am working on a sort of Tarot FAQ page to answer some of the other questions. If you have any, please feel free to ask!! |
