Time to grab some lightning bolt energy!

Eight of Wands

"Light-wands turned into electrical rays, sustaining or even constituting Matter by their vibrating energy.... This card, therefore, represents energy of high velocity, such as furnishes the master-key to modern mathematical physics." (BOT) Or as Einstein would say: e=mc2
..
.
This is some serious fast moving - swift- energy. Anything that needs speed or high-frequency - this is your card. Correspondence-wise, this card is Mercury in Sagittarius - the fire element is stabilized and very happy. The card sits in Hod (home of Mercury) on the Tree of Life and that gives it more of an energy boost. So much energy here even if Hod is low on the Tree. ..
.
This is like mainlining a whole lot of caffeine and then cramming for your finals. You are going to get a lot done RIGHTNOW but it isn't going to last. Maintaining this kind of energy for long will cause a serious burn out so use it wisely. Just remember to stay centered and in control and use this energy to get past any obstacles or challenges that stand in your way.

Daily Mindfulness   Six of Cups

Not gonna lie, I woke up in a foul mood - not enough sleep I think. I hate being cranky so I asked for some focus and this card popped up to brighten the day. Even without the basic knowledge of the card, it still shows us to be light and to ride the gentle waves to happiness.

Six of Cups

This card really does look like Pleasure. We have balance again and this card just looks happy and bouncy doesn't it?  This card sits in Tiphareth (sphere of the Sun) and on the Tree of Life this card sits in a direct reflection of the Ace of Cups. The Sun is very happy here - think of a gorgeous summer day when you have nothing to do but have fun. ..
.
Crowley says, "Pleasure - in the title card- must be understood in its highest sense; it implies well-being, harmony of natural forces without effort or strain, ease, satisfaction." Commencement of steady increase, gain, pleasure. But Commencement Only.  As you can see, water is now flowing again from the lotus blossoms but they have only started to fill up!
..
.
We have gotten through some heavy emotional turmoil and now we are finding our balance again - with an open heart, keeping our expectations based in reality and staying in the moment. There is an endless river of love and energy for us if we open ourselves up to swim in it.

Daily Mindfulness   The Emperor

Another card that shot out at me today and it was so perfect as I was pondering how to focus my limited attention span LOL  And this is some badass Get It Done energy!

The Emperor

Third alchemical trump, Sulfur, The Emperor represents Aries - Mars rules and Sol is exulted. Crowley says that the sign is thus a combination of energy in its most material form with the idea of authority. ..
.
Facing his Empress, the body of the Emperor creates the glyph of Sulfur - the male fiery energy of the Universe, the Rajas of Hindu philosophy. This is the swift creative energy, the initiative of all Being.  On his red shield is the Eagle - symbolizing the red tincture. This symbolizes the fiery action and nature of the Sun and gold - remember the Empress was the Moon and Silver.
..
.
Alchemically this recipe says we must first find the white tincture then the red tincture - then unite them to accomplish the Great Work. ..
.
He is the masculine life force, dynamic, authoritative and full of strong leadership. He is less emotional than his Empress - this energy is perfect for standing strong when feeling vulnerable. Stand strong in your power and trust yourself.

Four of Disks

We have an aerial view of a citadel, surrounded by a moat.  The watchtowers hold the symbols for the elements.  A place to create, a powerhouse. We have a balance and structure here, in the realm of Chesed, which also gives us stability and growth. What we started with the three is now coming to fruition.
..
.
We have a nice stability here and we feel good - the hard work we have put in has paid off and we feel a nice security in our success.  Also to note - it is always a good idea to share our success with others and not hoard or let it stagnate. Keep that energy and success, moving forward!

This lovely lady literally flew out of the deck while I was shuffling so I shall pay attention to what she has to say today!

Princess of Disks

Earth of Earth - "she is strong and beautiful, with an expression of intense brooding, as if about to become aware of a secret wonder."  She is Earth of Earth which makes her the lowest court card of the lowest suit. She is the Malkuth of Malkuths, pregnant with all possible potentials. The key to perpetuating life in the universe.
..
.
Creation, growth, generous, kind and courageous.  This card brings new growth, new starts and keeps us grounded in the earth. Be excited! We create our universe!

The Lovers

This card represents the first part of solve et coagula - the solve or solution. (Coagula is found in the Art card)  This is the story of a marriage and a pregnancy and the child of that union, represented by the Orphic Egg that shows up in the cards. Crowley says, "it represents the essence of all life that comes under the formula of male and female."
..
.
The Lovers represent the harmony and balance of opposites. Wholeness - as we were once upon a time before life got in the way with its views and prejudices.  This is a time to learn to love without any bounds, no fears and no doubts.  This also includes loving the self and accepting who you are and being 100% find with it.

Four of Cups

This card has a heavy feel to it after the lightness of the three.  The sky is darker and the sea is restless while the cups are just overflowing and slowly sinking lower. Also, the wilted lotus at the top, which is pouring out the water just looks sad and about to run out of its supply.
..
.
The four is like the Demiurge, its self absorbed and arrogant. It thinks it's Luxury is the Cup of all Cups and it isn't.  A stationary period in happiness, which may or may not continue.  You have reached a plateau here, what you really wanted you gained and now everything is sort of comfortable? Boring? Too much? Not exciting the way it used to be. With all the emotions flooding over it might be hard to breathe at the moment.
..
.
This is when you need to be thankful for the love and blessings you do have. Don't take this for granted or think it will always be there because you never know. Celebrate the love you do have while you have it!

Seven of Disks

This card reminds of me of crawling back into bed after things go pear shaped - but it has its lessons - mostly about being patient and waiting for this to be over.
..
.
We enter Netzach and lose our balance we worked hard to gain (again) Crowley says, "There is no effort here; not even dream; the stake has been thrown down, and it is lost. That is all labour itself is abandoned; everything is sunk in sloth."
..
.
Nothing worked out the way we wanted it too and our hoped got squashed. But here's the thing. Were our hopes realistic? Did we want to achieve more than what we should have been aiming at? Failure and disappointment happen. When they do, we need to look at what happened, learned from it and let it go. Don't dwell on it! ..

I LOVE THIS CARD - Time to ride your Horse Rocket!

Knight of Wands

Fire of Fire, this Knight and his horse are being almost blasted off the card from some massive force behind them!  This is a fantastic fiery energy but!  Imagine the Knight riding a horse rocket - if he can't control its direction he is going to crash and burn. ..

This Knight has the potential of being the strongest of the court cards but he needs to learn to grasp and hold on to this energy and use it wisely.  Be sure to aim at your goals and know what you want before you fire up your horse rocket. Once you get going, this energy is going to take you to some awesome places!

Five of Wands

This card goes all over the map, Leo is happy in Geburah (both are fiery) and Geburah gives us motion and strength/activity. But Saturn gives us a resistance that can feel heavy.  Just looking at it you can see the light wands with a fiery energy, but a heavy wand blocks it from going anywhere.
..
.
There is energy but also frustration as if we just can't seem to get moving with any progress.  This happens from time to time but if we realize that and remind ourselves that it will pass - we can try to find the patience and the humor to wait it out.  There are other things we can do while we let the frustrating bits simmer until they are ready to go!
