Death (Thoth)
This is probably my all time favorite Death card because he just looks so happy with his job. He is dancing and reaping and stirring up the bubble of new life from seemingly dead sediment.  From The Book of Thoth: The Universe is Change; every Change is the effect of an Act of Love; all Acts of Love contain Pure Joy. Die Daily! There is a lot of alchemy in Death but the most important part is that without the putrefaction, there is no continuation of life.

Death (NEE)
Transformations into a new state of being - letting go of things that no longer serve us well. I like the art on this one, a skull, the reminder of our own mortality. The poppies - growing and vibrant to remind us that there is life after death.  That we shouldn't be afraid to let go of what we hold on to so tightly now. Something new awaits.

Don't be afraid to let go of whatever it is you are holding so tightly too. The things that are  meant to happen will happen no matter what you do. The harder you hold on the more painful it will be to transition into a new phase. And we must move forward - we cannot stagnate. Instead of fear, look at it as the next big adventure, "We'll be able to fly, don't fear the reaper"
