Three of Pentacles
I am finding that while the Crow deck does include "people helping people," it really strives to teach us to be self-reliant and to know that we have everything we need to accomplish our goals. In the regular RWS deck this card tends to symbolize collaborations but in this deck it is more about playing to our strengths. It is about changing our surroundings to our liking and making a niche for ourselves - to remove what doesn't fit and to shape our world as we need it to be.
It's The Happy Goat Devil! And that is what he brings us - joy, a sense of humor and the ability to see our challenging issues with grace and balance. Masculine energy at its most masculine. And the symbolism on the card shows just that. This Devil that people have been brought up to fear is life itself - happy, creative, unrestrained life. That wants to grow and unite with everything. Blind impulses, ambition, temptation - are a few of the ways this card can be defined - but if we accept our "good" impulses as well as the "bad" ones, we can remained honest and balanced.
So together, we are free to choose the world we want to live in and create. The Great Work is to reconcile ourselves into wholeness - and we do that by facing all our disparate parts and uniting them together.
