Daily Mindfulness Thoth/Antique Anatomy Tarot
The Hermit (Thoth) Illumination from within. "Be not moved by aught without or within: keep Silence in all ways." (BOT) This card has so much symbolic goodness in it and I should do a in-depth study of it on it's own, but for now, let me try to sum up its basic ideas. The Hermit is the officiant at the wedding of The Lovers and is an expression of male creative energy. He sits in Virgo and Mercury is exalted there. Virgo is the mutable sign of Earth. The Hermit carries the lamp of the Sun with which he lights the world. And that right there is the combination we need for the fulfillment of The Great Work. Also, Virgo's Hebrew letter is Yod and all other letters are created from its basic form. And our Hermit is very Yod shaped, with the head of Thoth/Mercury. And that is a lot to ponder, while we sit quietly and move within, learning, growing and sensing what it will take to complete our Great Work. The Hermit (AA) This is the time of introspection and solitude. When things get chaotic, we need to indulge in a little self-care and down time to help clear our minds and souls. When we look inward, without the clutter of the outside world, we can see a lot more clearly what we want and where we want to go next. Together: Reflection and seclusion isn't something you should save for special occasions. This time helps us concentrate and to become self-aware - which is necessary in our Great Work
