Daily Mindfulness Thoth Tarot
Ten of Wands
Lady Harris depicted this card perfectly. The two Dorjes from the Two of wands - there depicting celestial power, now trap the rest of the wands under them, suppressing their fiery energy. Crowley says, "the whole picture suggests oppression and repression. It is a stupid and obstinate cruelty from which there is no escape. It is Will which has not understood anything beyond its dull purpose, its "lust of result," and will devour itself in the conflagration it has evoked."
Overbearing force/energy - applied to material ends. Strong opposition, hard to control, arising from a selfish nature. This is fire in its most destructive aspect. Here we are trapped and blocked which has us feeling depressed and frustrated. The best thing to do is stop for a moment and take a look at what is surrounding you. Don't suppress your feelings - get them out, say what you need and create a game plan to follow.
