Daily Mindfulness
So, while shuffling this group of cards did not want to shuffle into the deck, the chunk just sat together unwilling to go so, here we are then LOL The Empress came first, the rest followed together. The Empress On the Tree of Life, The Empress is Daleth - door, and woman is the door to life as we are born. Her planet is Venus and she is the second alchemical trump card, salt. Crowley describes her as the inactive principal of Nature - Salt is matter which must be energized by Sulfur to maintain the equilibrium of the Universe. (sulfur is the Emperor/Aries, ruled by Mars and was the lover of Venus!) .. . The Empress holds a strong feminine power - the power to create and to love. This is a gentle and compassionate power but incredibly strong and enduring. For some reason it reminds of that saying that Moms are supposed to say to naughty kids, "I brought you into this world and I can take you out." And while that is a joke, it is that kind of power she wields. Embrace this creative energy with love and use it to renew and replenish. .. . Ace of Wands This card represents the essence of the element of Fire in its inception. A solar-phallic outburst of flame from which spring lightnings in every direction. (BOT) Lady Harris also drew this Ace as a giant fiery Tree of Life. This explosive and fiery energy starts the wands suit going, the seeds of desire - our Will getting ready to roll. This is a potent energy but it isn't formed yet, so be sure to create a plan of action, goals, something to aim this energy at. Then hold on tight! .. . Nine of Disks Now this is a lovely looking card. It has balance and a calm feel to it. It sits in Yesod, which gives us satisfaction and reflection. Crowley tells us, "This card is ruled by Venus in Virgo. It shows good luck attending material affairs, favor and popularity. ... the mingling of good luck and good management." Complete realization of material things. We have put in the work and can now settle comfortably into life. There is a lot of fantastic energy here, so stay open to it and keep it flowing. What we give in life is what we get - so be sure to share this awesome abundance. .. . Prince of Cups Air of Water - Crowley didn't much like this Prince but he does make a splashy entrance. His eagle chariot blasts off the card in a wave of water and air. The air does make the water unstable - bubbles exploding out of a bottle - that can cause some explosive issues if not watched for. This is a clever Knight, emotional and artistic. But he can be reckless and stormy if not balanced. Think of the art on the card - you want to keep your waves and your clouds in balance so you don't tip your eagle over 😉 .. And you know what? This is a great combination. It is fairly balanced and emotionally stable as long as we stay mindful of what we are doing and why we are doing it. There is a strong creative start here - and with good management and a plan - we can take our ideas and make them a reality.
