I really rarely ever pull this card as my Aries self tends to lean toward the Emperor, but she has been showing up a lot lately - and she brings a softer, kinder more empathetic love than her partner. She is powerful but also knows how to wield compassion and gives love to anyone in need, no matter who they are. That can be hard to do at times.
The Hanged Man
Crowley tells us that this Hanged Man symbolizes the descent of the light into the darkness in order to redeem it. A massive sacrifice that will create/sustain/destroy the Universe. This card was hard for me at first to really understand, but it boils down to letting go of ego and surrendering our old views and patterns so we can move forward. Seeing things from a new perspective can help us see new solutions. I think the "sacrifice" Crowley talks about is learning to let go of our preconceived ideas and learning new things -instead of staying in a stubborn, "I already know this nothing new can change my mind," state.
So together, it might be time to fall into our softer sides and see things from a different perspective than we are used to. This can also mean sending understanding and compassion to those we might ordinarily be annoyed with - and trying to see the world from their eyes for a bit.
