Letters From Thoth & The New Era Elements
The Star From the golden cup she pours this ethereal water, which is also milk and oil and blood, upon her own head, indicating the eternal renewal of the categories, the inexhaustible possibilities of existence. That is how Crowley describes this beautiful goddess and what she brings us...Clear vision, hope, spiritual insight and unexpected help. When we open ourselves up to the Universe around us, energy and emotion flow more evenly and balanced -and everything becomes effortless. Ace of Water (cups) which compliments the Star so nicely - This Ace is associated with our emotions, the subconscious mind and sensual pleasures. It is about going past us, our egos, and interacting with the world and the people in it. This is a time of new awareness - in pleasure, creativity, love... about connecting with our deepest and often unconscious, desires. So today is about trusting the Universe and ourselves - to be able to rest in that watery element of emotion and let ourselves love and be loved. When we are truly connected to everything, life simply flows the way it is intended... let yourself feel that peace that is always there for you.

Letters From Thoth and The New Era Elements
Thoth: Six of Wands Sixes! We love sixes - because they are a direct reflection of Kether, sitting in Tiphareth - a perfect balance all the way around. Coming after the 5, Strife, this is pleasure gained by struggle or by having to really work through some tough situations to get there. Persevering through the obstacles will get you where you need to go and it will be so worth it. New Era Elements: Ace of Fire (wands) The Spark of Creation. So much fiery energy here. This is about our willpower, our strong sense of self and our vibrant life force, all coming together to create something new. This card sits in the Kether spot on the Tree of Life - and is the start of our creative journey. I just want to point out how perfect these cards are. One sits in Tiphareth, the other Kether. Perfect balance within balance here. And a lot of creative energy. This is a time to grab hold of this fiery creative spark and get going on those projects you were hesitant about. Hard work and struggle will totally pay off, so commit yourself and be ready to win! Letters From Thoth and The New Era Elements
Eight of Cups Well this just looks unpleasant. All of the energy and emotions are stagnating, things are broken and being wasted. This is a sort of emotional apathy that can be very dangerous to let grow. In The Book of Thoth, Crowley calls this card, "the German Measles of Christian Mysticism and the very apex of unpleasantness." He also says it's like a party in which all prep has been done but the host forgot to ask anyone over. In other words, this is something we have let happen and we need to fix it. Mother of Earth Just looking at the card gives you a perfect idea of what it holds - comfort, security, love, caring, compassion. Calm and practical, willing to care for others and making sure that those she cares for are comfortable and loved. So today is a day to remove ourselves from any victim mentality we may be harboring and really look at where we are and how we got here. But do so from a place of love and no judgement. Take a firm and positive stance to open your energy back up and wash away any stagnant emotions. Reconnect yourself to the Universe and let that energy flow. Thoth: Ace of Swords This double edged sword brings us clarity and concentration. It is the primordial energy of Air, the integration of the Ruach - which is the intellect part of the soul. This is the sword of The Magus and is engraved with Thelema, Will - and it can be used to cut through all the chaos our minds can get into. New Era Elements: Strength I love this depiction of Strength. This is a wild and untamed instinct deep inside us and comes to us when faced when threats or perceived dangers. The inner strength needed to overcome these obstacles is all about our power of will and determination. Digging deep and finding the strength we need just when we need it. So today dig deep for the inner strength needed to wield the sword that will cut through all the crap we are dealing with. You have the will and the power needed to find clarity and direction - don't be afraid to swing that sword! Letters From Thoth and The New Era Elements
Eight of Wands There is a LOT of staticky electricity happening here. Crowley says, "this card represents energy of high velocity, such as furnishes the master-key to modern mathematical physics." This is a high energy, quick moving, rapid energy. Lightning strikes and electrical shocks - they happen fast and then are gone. But they will help us break through tough obstacles and move us on our way. The key to using it is to stay balanced and ready for anything - once it passes we need to keep moving on. Nine of Air (Swords) This is one of those cards in this deck that pulls zero punches. Much like the 9 of swords in the RWS - this is about misery, nightmares, a mind suffering terribly. This is about having to deal with these things, not hide them away any longer. The card illustrates this point in that, dissecting something, taking it apart and looking at each component, lets us learn how it all works. But there is a sacrifice in this. Taking something apart isn't easy and it can be painful - but we must learn how to see it and deal with it, so that we don't suffer any more than we need to. So today there is a lot of energy for you to work with here. Instead of letting it fly about with no direction, harness it and aim it well. This energy can help clear the mind and burst through obstacles that have been troubling you and keeping you up at night. So grab it and let it cut through the confusion. Thoth: Six of Cups This card sits right in Tiphareth, home of the Sun and it looks happy there doesn't it? Crowley says, "this is pleasure in its highest sense; well-being, harmony of natural forces without effort or strain." This is all about letting ourselves enjoy the pleasures around us - there is a flow in this card, a swaying dance as the cups are getting ready to be filled up again - let yourself be filled as well. Emotional contentment is something we all deserve. New Era Elements: 10 of Air/Destruction (a stabby card) but also, one of freedom - of freeing ourselves from illusions. This is us seeing things as they truly are and now we make the decision to face it and deal with it consciously. Much like this picture shows, Vultures eating an animal on the savannah - removing toxic remains from the environment - this is something you need to do for yourself - stepping away from the toxic situations in life. You create your life and your future - what you think and do right now - is what forms tomorrow. So today, open yourself up to the emotional freedom and the pleasure of life - if you have been keeping yourself a prisoner from these basic and needed emotions, let yourself free. Step away from the toxic situations and let your cup be filled. Letters From Thoth and The New Era Elements
Starting something new with combining these 2 decks for awhile. They both share the same correspondences and have the same powerful feel and dig deep within. So I thought I would see how it goes. Hope you enjoy! Thoth: Two of Cups A gorgeous and restful looking card, the energy of water in its best and highest form. From the BOT: "This card might be renamed The Lord of Love Under Will for that is its full and true meaning. It shows the harmony of the male and female. ... It is perfect and placid harmony, radiating an intensity of joy and ecstasy." The cups overflow with water (emotion/love) so don't waste it - embrace it and that includes self love. You can't love others until you fully embrace and love yourself. New Era Elements: Daughter of Air (Swords) Water of Air, this card shows an intelligent woman who enjoys mental challenges. She has a bit of mischief about her as well as a strong spirit and will stand firm in what she believes in. She can be quick to anger and impulsive but most importantly, she wants to use her katana to liberate the mind. So today is a time of observing the bounty of love and contentment in your life. That starts with making sure you love yourself. Stop the negative judging and putting yourself down - use the Air Sword to cut those bits right the hell out and open up to the perfect being you already are. Letters From the Thoth Tarot
Three of Wands So much fiery energy there. Sol in Aries gives us a lot to work with here. Sol gives us the primal solar energy - the kind that warms the soil and wakes up the seeds waiting to burst into life. Crowley also tells us that with the 3's, "the idea has become fertilized; the triangle formulated." This fabulous energy sits in the third sephira, Binah, which adds "sublime understanding," to this powerful card. This kind of energy is asking us, "what are we waiting for?" This is the "let's do this" energy - you have the integrity, power and well-structured ideas to start this journey. Be patient and strong in your will and don't rush forward all willy nilly. Ideas that we have fertilized are now ready to grow and we have the power and will to make it happen. Letters From Thoth
The Sun From the Book of Thoth, "This is one of the simplest cards; it represents the Lord of the New Aeon, manifested as the Sun, spiritual, moral, and physical. He is the Lord of Light, Life, Liberty and Love. This Aeon has for its purpose the complete emancipation of the Human Race." Also, the twins from the Fool card and the Lovers are seen here dancing away and according to Crowley, "The represent the male and female, eternally young, shameless and innocent. They are dancing in the light and yet they dwell upon the Earth. They represent the next stage which is to be attained by mankind - our complete freedom." Renewal, light and warmth - you will find your place in the Sun where you can develop yourself - there is a tremendous energy and power from the Sun, let it flow through you. Grow with life, be conscious of all your experiences and let your inner light illuminate your surroundings. There are going to be tough times, but if we can shine this light on them, we can see the positive side of anything and be proud of how far we have come and know we have what it takes to keep on going.
