A Walk Through the Thoth Tarot
Four of Wands This card sits in Chesed (the 4th sephira) and is the first one below the Abyss. Meaning that the 4's are the first solid manifestation of their suits. This is where the Demiurge comes in - a god who thinks he is the creator of its universe but is really only the 4 principal, not the first as he thinks, and unaware of the three who come before it. He is really only the visible manifestation of the invisible primal forces that created him. But! The Demiurge brings rule of law to the Universe - a characteristic that all the 4 small cards share. Harris created a wheel by taking four wands and making them into eight spokes - with the dove of Venus and the Ram of Aries/Mars. Crowley says, "Venus in Aries indicates the one cannot establish one's work without tact and gentleness." Perfection or completion of a thing built up with trouble and labor. Rest after labor. Now we are starting to manifest our goals, but it's only the start! Like the wheel, we need to keep turning and moving so we don't get stuck or stagnate. Stay balanced and focused and keep on moving forward.
