Daily Mindfulness - Wonderland in Tarot
Nine of Swords So, the White Rabbit is a bundle of stressy nerves throughout the books - always late or looking for something that has been misplaced. No wonder he can't sleep at night - chaos makes for a horrible bedfellow. So, on nights when we cannot stop our stabby thoughts, and that is what these swords are, stabby insistent thoughts that will not. shut. up. - on nights like this it helps to focus on what we can do. Swords are also planning and logic and if we use that, we can make lists or see things from a different perspective that will allow us to see things more clearly. If there is something we can do about our issues then we can plan a course of attack. If there isn't a thing we can do... we can try to let it go. Worrying about things we cannot control puts the thoughts in control - but we can choose to face them and let them go.

Daily Mindfulness - The Halloween Oracle
(if the Spirit Halloween stores are open it isn't too early for Halloween stuff LOL) Black Cat - fortune meets opportunity Too many people think these lovely fuzzy cats are indicative of negative or bad luck when in fact it should be seen as good luck and good fortune if a black one crosses your path. I guess it depends on perspective and I am choosing the positive! In ancient Britain they were considered good luck and even given to brides on their wedding day - In Japan they are bringers of fortune. In folklore, they were considered conduits between the underworld and this world. What this card reminds us of is that good fortune and opportunity are everywhere - we just need to keep our eyes open and stay mindful to what surrounds us because if you don't see it, you can't take advantage of it! Daily Mindfulness - Osho Zen Tarot
2 of Fire Unlimited possibilities and potential! The eagle flying freely and effortlessly can see all of his domain and all of the possibilities open to him. When you are open and at ease, when you can relax into the now, this moment, then all of this will open itself to you. Be in tune with your own nature and enjoy this flight and all of the wonders is brings you. There are no limits but the ones you give yourself! Daily Mindfulness - Thoth Tarot
Three of Wands Sol in Aries - and the sun couldn't be happier to be here! And this card is full of solar energy. This is the energy of the Sun hitting the new spring soil to wake up the seeds that have been waiting all winter. Crowley says of all the 3s, "The idea has become fertilized." Sol in Aries sits in Binah, which gives this card sublime Understanding - the great power and the will to use that power that was in the 2 of wands, is now fertilized here and ready to go! We can use the fiery and balanced energy to plan what we want and be confident in our ability to create it. Daily Mindfulness - Medicine Cards
I just want to note that these cards are always spot on. I asked a very specific question and it nailed it in the most interesting way. I love it when that happens. Armadillo This medicine is about setting our boundaries and defining our space. Like the armadillo, we need to have our own personal armor that cannot be penetrated or leave us feeling invaded. This also includes us choosing what we want to experience and things that make us happy. Only those chosen experiences can be a part of our lives. Be strong, set your boundaries! Daily Mindfulness - Spirit Halloween Tarot
I have Halloween on the brain badly - 86 more days! So I got out my trusty Spirit Halloween Deck to help pass the time. Queen of Wands - Lilith Queen of Wands - Be upfront with your emotions. The Queen is a self-starter, who knows what she wants and how to get it. Cheerful and charming, she believes in herself and knows how to channel her emotions to get the best results. Have deep faith in your abilities, channel that fiery energy and create your world! Lilith: This lady was a badass who got a bad rap in the bible. She knew exactly what she wanted and who she was and was not going to settle for anything less. Channel your inner Lilith today! Daily Mindfulness - The Wonderland Tarot
The Hermit The Dormouse is a perfect Hermit with his little lantern nightlight - he is always ok with downtime. In fact, he sleeps most of the time, dreaming, dreaming of all the things and is totally happy and at peace with himself. This is a reminder for us to take our quiet time. To dream our quiet dreams. To get to know ourselves away from the chaos of real life. Here we find our inner strength, inner knowledge. and all manner of information our unconscious mind has for us if we only stay still enough to listen. Once we find this wisdom we can then share with others. Daily Mindfulness - The Haindl Tarot
The Empress So much symbolism in this deck and here are some of the symbols for the Empress. Daleth = door, and the door is open behind the Empress. The Doorway is said to symbolize culture and the arch is said to suggest a church, for religion. The Empress stands on a crescent moon that floats in water, a snake wrapped around her arm - the snake represents transformation and enlightenment. This Empress means: passion, love of Nature, Motherhood and joyous activity - she is the doorway to many things and that door goes both ways. Rachel Pollack in her book on this deck says this card is indicative of sexuality and the responsibilities of parenthood and spirituality - with everyone working together - creative and sexual expression seem to be the jist of this card. Supreme fertility in all areas of life, she provides nourishment and security. Daily Mindfulness - Enchanted Map Oracle
I forgot how much I love this deck! Plus, this is one of my favorite cards from it... Storm Fields "This too shall pass." Right now there could be a lot of chaos and conflict around you and that negative energy is building up to breaking point. Like nature, we too, have to storm a bit, let that electricity out of our systems but here's the thing - when I see this card, I don't see chaos, I see POWER. There is a tremendous amount of power in these storms and harnessed correctly, you can create such magical things. Storms will pass and the sun will come out again but while the storm is raging, don't be afraid to face it, feel that wind on your face and grab some of that energy. Lightning can cause a lot of damage, but if channeled through a lightning rod, you have a safe conduit of some creative energy! So ground yourself, stand firm and grab that energy! Six of Cups The cups here are full of lovely flowers, symbolic of the delicate and transitory. Soon, they will fade away but will leave their memories behind. Memories can be such a great thing when we are down or having an off day - they remind us of something sweet. But we have a bad habit of stacking the deck with our memories -romanticising them at times. This card is a whisper from the past. Something from the land of ago is needed now - something we learned or experienced will help us with a present opportunity or issue. |
