Daily Mindfulness
The Hanged Man So, something is happening and we may or may not be liking it much - but whatever it is, we just need to surrender to the experience. Sometimes it's hard to sit with certain feelings but if we can just be with them, see them, look at them, but don't take them on - we can learn to understand what is happening and the lessons we need to learn from them. It comes down to letting go of ego and surrendering our old views and patterns so we can move forward. Seeing things from a new perspective can help us see new solutions. #dailymindfulness

Daily Mindfulness
Nine of Swords Oh stabby stabby card - the power of worry and regret. All those crackly, stabby thoughts running amok in our heads - with no direction - out of control. I can relate to this right now in the "let's overthink everything department." But there is hope! We just need to be calm enough to face these things with rational and clear thinking. One thing at a time. #dailymindfulness Daily Mindfulness
Ace of Swords Today might be a good day to adopt a new way of thinking or learning something new. This Ace is the seed of our intellectual power - the beginnings of ideas, or just a reminder that we need to use our intellects here and while it is always good to stay balanced with our emotions, right now we need to use rational thought more. Invoke this Ace to help you see clearly! #dailymindfulness Daily Mindfulness
Four of Wands After the Four of Cups yesterday, we find another four - although this one isn't a heavy one. This Four brings us a happy time - to celebrate getting things done. Maybe it was a group effort and it went well so now is the time to party and enjoy the fruit of hard labor. Or maybe you just feel like getting together with some friends and having a good time - you earned it! #dailymindfulness Daily Mindfulness
Four of Cups Oh this is one of those "everything is meh," days. We have stuff and we like stuff but all the stuff is just starting to sit there and isn't as exciting as it used to be. That happens and when it does we need to step it up a bit. Find something new to investigate. Sitting in "boredom," can be a good way to get the creativity in life started again, but apathy can be lethal. So take the time to recharge if you need to, but then be sure to look around your world and find something to get into again. #dailymindfulness Daily Mindfulness
The Emperor I like to think of this card as the "put on your big person pants and get things done." It usually shows up for me when I am feeling incapable of doing things and reminds me that I have the Power to do them, I just need to stand in that Power and break out of the victimy prison I have put myself into. The Emperor is all about rules and boundaries and putting things into their proper places, and while this can be kind of dull, it is necessary - this is how we get all the things done. #dailymindfulness Daily Mindfulness
Five of Pentacles Once again, this deck is illuminating some harder lessons - but always with the answers or at least giving us a direction to go in. There is some physical need not being met - perhaps we feel isolated and not sure where to reach out. I think sometimes we get stuck inside our own heads and everything tends to spiral into disaster, stopping us from seeing clearly. But we have everything we need here. We just need to stop for a moment and think. Help is there, we need to see it and - often the hard part - ask for it. And if we are in the position to help someone, do so in gratitude, remembering how hard it was for us. #dailymindfulness Daily Mindfulness
Knave of Wands Learning new things is happening today! This is a time of child-like wonder and adventure. I think as adults, we lose that free spirited inner child who just wanted to see "what happens if I do this." Have you been wanting to try something new? This is a good time to play and see what happens if you do that! #dailymindfulness Daily Mindfulness
Eight of Swords It's funny, but this deck is actually mirroring some real life issues perfectly - this one finds us in a somewhat precarious situation. We are stuck somewhere - feeling trapped by something. Swords are the mind and the mind loves to get stuck in a hamster wheel of doubt and right now we need to remember we got ourselves where we are and we can get ourselves out too. So we need to stop and take a look at what is happening, instead of rushing about with no direction. Banging your head on the wall isn't going to help here. This is temporary and we just need to let this go and focus our energies on the things we can deal with right now. Also, a change in perspective can work wonders as well. #dailymindfulness Daily Mindfulness
My new Tarot of Pagan Cats Mini Deck has arrived! I realized I had absolutely no cat themed cards and needed to rectify it - but on a budget LOL This was perfect in price and size! Three of Swords I was a bit freaked out when I pulled this first card in response to, "how will you help me as a deck?" But then I realized there is sorrow in the world as well as frustration and sadness. But it does no good to hide from it even if crawling under a fleece blanket sounds much more attractive. I think the key is to find what is causing the suffering and face it. Look at it closely, find the root cause and deal with it as best you can. Hard cards - as well as the easier one's - always come with the answers within them. This one has all the elements - much like the Magician - we have everything we need to deal with this already. Remember, we control our actions and if we stand up and face things head on it helps us to find answers and healing. #dailymindfulness #tarotofpagancats |
