Daily Mindfulness Thoth Tarot
Four of Cups This card looks gloomy to me. Also, it just looks too full of stuff and when this card shows up, it's a reminder that while life is currently cozy and happy, enjoy it because it isn't going to last. The ocean from the three of cups is now starting to stir up and two of the cups have sunk to the lotus blossoms and may or may not fall over completely. This is an opportunity to reflect on what life has to offer and what you can do with it. it also reminds us to be grateful for the love we have in our lives and to not take it for granted. "A stationary period of happiness which may or may not continue." Try to keep the emotions and energy flowing smoothly so they don't get stuck and stagnate.

Daily Mindfulness Thoth Tarot
Yassss this is my card and when it shows up all the good things start happening. Queen of Wands "The characteristics of the Queen are adaptability, persistent energy, calm authority which she knows how to use to enhance her attractiveness. She is kindly and generous, but impatient of opposition. She has immense capacity for friendship/love but always on her own initiative." (BOT) Assertive and vibrant, full of powerful creativity, this badass Queen attracts all sorts of fiery energy and then sends it back out into the world. She knows what she wants and knows how to get it. Create your goals, organize your responsibilities and show them what you are made of! Daily Mindfulness Thoth Deck
The Empress Normally, I am not a fan of the Empress but the Thoth deck gives her so much more to work with and the card is just gorgeous. From The Book of Thoth, "It is impossible to summarize the meanings of the symbol of the Woman, for this very reason, that she continually recurs in infinitely varied form. Many throned, many minded, many wiled, daughter of Zeus." Daleth is where she sits, above the Abyss and quite happy to be there. This path connects Chokmah and Binah - a path of great love. Daleth means door and she is the doorway into life and out of life as well. She is also the second of the alchemical trump cards and represents Salt. She is inactive until she is energized by Sulfur (The Emperor). Her shield has a white double-headed Eagle holding a Moon which represents the alchemical white tincture that will combine with the Emperor's red tincture in the next card. This is a card of Venus, and of love and beauty, pleasure and success, sensuality and balance. Gentle compassion and graciousness. Embrace the divine feminine in you, let your creative self go wild and let your fertile emotions free. Let her unconditional love flow through you and out into the Universe. Princess of Wands Earth of Fire, this brilliant Princess is the fuel for your endeavours! While Lady Harris was painting her, she wrote to Crowley that, "she won't have nice tidy lines and she is behaving most queer. Oh dear, I am tired. I have battled with her blaring wriggles till the eye falls out and she has burnt my throat." Yep, that's our Princess. Energetic and self-assured, independant and inspiring - and maybe a tad dangerous, if left unminded she might incinerate herself and maybe everything else around her. Courage, force, enthusiastic and full of brilliance, The Princess of Wands brings us the energy we need to face whatever scares us and tackle it head on. Let her fiery energy help burn away your worries and fill you up with confidence! Daily Mindfulness Thoth Tarot
Three of Cups A happy, sexy, party card of joy! The pomegranate cups are overflowing and floating nicely on lotus leaves, while being filled from the overhanging lotus blossoms. Crowley says this card refers to Demeter and Persephone, and is, "the fulfillment of the Will of Love in abounding joy. It is the perfect basis of fertility." This card is a perfect storm of abundance - Mercury is the Will or Word of the All-Father and here its influence descends upon the most receptive of the Signs." (BOT) Plenty, pleasure, merriment - love and kindness, fortune and success, this card has it all but it has a warning there too. Because of the pomegranates... Persephone swallowed a few of the seeds and doomed herself to live part of the year with her husband Pluto, in the land of the dead. Not even Zeus could break the spell. While Crowley says that the good things in life while enjoyed, should be distrusted, I think it could also be as simple as don't get carried away. As with all things, stay balanced, stay aware and grounded. Daily Mindfulness Thoth Tarot
Eight of Wands Just look at that spazzy, electric energy! Crowley says, "This card represents energy of high velocity," and swiftness is just what it portrays. This is the kind of energy you need when it's down to the wire and you have to get something done and it's frenetic and sometimes chaotic and by the time you finish you crash. Swift messages too much force applied too suddenly, rapid rush that is quickly expended. A bolt out of the blue infusing you with much needed energy and creativity. Just remember to stay balanced and grounded so you don't crash and burn. Daily Mindfulness Thoth Tarot
Nine of Disks I rarely pull this card but I love it when I do and not just because it is a happy material matter card but because it is lovely to look at. It is balanced and the soft colors just add to the overall ambiance and Crowley says, "This card is ruled by Venus in Virgo - It shows good luck attending to material affairs... the mingling of "good luck and good management." He must have really thought it meant GOOD luck as he uses the term twice there! This is about working hard, staying diligent and reaping the rewards ... Much increase of goods. Complete realization of material gain. What you put into something, you get back. The more effort, the more reward. So open yourself up to the abundance that life has for us! Daily Mindfulness Game of Thrones Tarot
Knight of Cups This is a very rosy Knight - a hopeless romantic and very enchanting. Sensitive and emotional, this Knight loves the beautiful things but he can also be very moody and depressive and will most likely take you along with him if you get caught there. He can also get caught up in flights of fancy if he isn't grounded. This is a good reminder to find balance in our hopes and dreams as well as the day to day. Don't be too stuffy but don't get your head stuck in the clouds either. Find the romance and the beauty all around you! Daily Mindfulness Spirit Halloween Tarot
Ten of Pentacles - Stability, long lasting life for projects and relationships. Connection to family and ancestors. The connection of spiritual to material. What are you committed to and how can you feed that commitment? You started at the bottom and have worked your way to the top! Go you! Minotaur - In Greek mythology the minotaur had the body of a man and the head of a bull. As with a lot of Greek mythology there was some crazy sh*t going on with this story and a lot of crazy family stuff. People mated with animals, people died, people got cursed and then died. Fascinating reading though ;) You have gone through a maze of obstacles that life tosses at us and now have created a secure foundation for yourself. This is important because once you have a solid base, you have the stability to settle down into a lasting routine. Something that will carry you forward into a solid and lasting future. Daily Mindfulness Medicine Cards
I'd just like to point out that Pockethippo did NOT want to be in this picture LOL Alligator Alligator medicine is all about integrating everything life has to give us. By watching how an alligator acts can help us with this... stuffing prey under logs for storage shows us patience and timing. Roll around with the prey before we kill it? Roll with the punches life throws. Alligator also shows us how to be more flexible, and to slow down and stop rushing through everything. Honor the process and look at your long-term goals instead of all the now now now. Stay calm and pay attention to your surroundings. Before doing anything, look at the situation carefully and evaluate what you need to do. Integrate all the lessons you have learned in life and apply that knowledge accordingly. Stay flexible and try to see all points of view before moving on something. |
