Today my friend found a link to one of the best mash ups of songs I have ever heard. He knows my favorite song is Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees (don't judge) and he found a mash up with AC/DC's Back In Black... it is awesome! You're welcome. All of their mashups were really well done, so explore a bit and enjoy the music! have a great weekend!

A few years ago I was pretty sick and for awhile I just couldn't really concentrate on much and found myself browsing random websites at 3 in the morning. I had just finished reading Carrot Quinns book, Through Hiking Will Break Your Heart, and recalled she had a webpage as well. I was hooked. Since her first hike on the PCT was in 2013, I discovered a TON of other trail blogs from hikers who also hiked it that year. It was this amazing peek of another world and because so many of the hikers interacted with each other, it was seeing the same events from different perspectives and I just loved it. I used to go hiking a lot as a kid with my family and I quite liked it, aside from that nasty outhouse with the ants and spiders, no thank you, I will go outside. I loved the big old tent my Dad had - no ultra light that thing. It weighed like 90 pounds and was made of USMC heavy duty canvas. I think it had room for 30 people and every summer we made him put it up in our backyard for a week or so. Musty dusty smells reminded me of being out in the woods and I adored it. We broke out his mess kit and cans of Sterno and had a ball. I wonder what it would be like to hike that long trail. I imagine it would be hard to even think of the Canadian border while standing at the start way down in Campo. I think it would feel unfathomable and better left unthought of - better to do that whole one step at a time thing. There is something incredibly freeing about having everything you need with you. I think about that when I am stuck in So. Cal traffic LOL Anyway - I read quite a few very well done hiking journals and I am going to share them here so I have them on hand as well as to pass their gifts on to anyone who might like to take an armchair journey with them. Some of them, actually, most of them, are still active hikers and I still read their continuing journeys, wondering what it would be like to have one of my own someday. These are not in any order, just how I am copying them over and I am probably missing some, will add when I find them. Stories from Steve - Probably my all time favorite adventure journal Craig's PCT Hike/PCT Planner creator Carrot Quinn - Dispatches from the Wild Mexico to Canada 2013 So Many Miles - Thru-Hiking Truck Driving Miles Darkroom & Dearly One Who Cannot As the Trail Turns In These Woods Brown Girl on the PCT Woody's Adventures Lead a Life Uncommon Witch Wandering - and I hope she can finish the journal someday - she writes so well about her travels. Full moon energy always leaves me with a lot of excess energy which means no sleep and a very awake brain. It always seems to sneak up on me too - one of the few things I miss about living in rural Ohio was having a very intense relationship with nature. There, I was surrounded by it all the time. Not so much in jammed packed with too many people So. Cal.
I miss nature - when I was closer to it I felt more in tune with everything - now I am mostly jangled around with too loud neighbors and traffic jams. I need to do something about this - I am just not sure what. I know my dreams are up to something and I really should go back to posting about them like I used to do on Myspace - I can tell I am heading in the right direction and all signs point to pay attention now - but I also sense a wait is needed as well. In the words of Inigo Montoya, *I hate wait* Full moon energy - electric blue - static-y and crystal clear. I need something - I just don't know what yet. I normally hate going grocery shopping - and they are refurbing the store so it is always crowded and understaffed. For some reason, they made the chip aisle wide enough for a bus but the water aisle is so narrow that if 2 people met in the middle, 1 of them would have to back out. Weird.
But today I was trying to not think about being annoyed and the octopi balloons made me giggle. It's the HATS they have on LOLOL Daily Mindfulness with Botanicals!
🌱🍃🌼🌿⚘ Sometimes we can feel at a loss on how to deal with things, large and small, in our world. We want to do big bold things and sometimes I think we forget that it is the little things that can often make the biggest difference, even if it doesn't feel like it. Phlox - Unanimity and Harmony 🍃🌱 Working together with others! By working in unity we can combine many passions and creativity to make something better than we could on our own. How, I mean seriously, HOW DID I NOT KNOW HE WAS AT THE SAN DIEGO ZOO??? I can't even think straight right now LOL So adorable! Anyone want to go with me? Some fun things to study lately - and I will be posting a full deck reveal later under the Tarot tab. I have always loved plants. My Dad always had a gorgeous yard and I learned a lot from helping him take care of it. I miss having a yard with a garden and plants and I don't really like having them inside right now because they don't get enough light and I don't want them to suffer.
Both of the above decks come with an overview of each plant/herb and how they can be used and what they can signify as an oracle. The illustrations are just gorgeous as well. I need to start sketching again and these just wake up my inner artist. The decks are: Botanical Inspirations and The Hedgewitch Botanical Oracle. Anthony Bourdain - My heart hurts ❤ I so admired this man. He was willing to go anywhere and try anything. And not only did he talk to anyone, he LISTENED to them. He showed us how to go outside of our comfort zones and stretch our boundaries and he did it in style. I will miss his passion and I hope he soars eternally free. The glove looked like the cut off hand of The Creature From The Black Lagoon and the butterfly next to it has alien eyes. Also, the Nuclear Plant... they had a funky atom looking design on the pot so I just went with it because that's just how I am LOL
The It's Different Everyday Calendar I got my friend always cracks me up and this time it was a sad raccoon with a broken board that I "mended," with a baby band aid. The Atlas Obscura calendar I got my other friend was about the Garden Of Tarot so he gave me that one :) I also go the Hedgewitch Field Guide/Oracle Cards and they are gorgeous. More from them soon and often. So, to continue with the Crow Magic from yesterday! I was driving to work this morning and saw 3 crows sitting on a tree limb over a fence. To be honest, I rarely see crows, well until yesterday anyway, but here were 3 of them. I started trying to remember what that meant, the rhyme, you know? But then I had to pay attention to traffic so I forgot about it. Then I was looking at my Instagram feed and what did I see? Yes. Yes. Someone had posted the actual RHYME. You cannot just call all of this only a coincidence. You just cannot do that. That, is Crow Magic Synchronicity! And it still gives me goosebumps! I was working on a card this morning and realized I had been seeing crows all morning. Since I have been studying synchronicity and *coincidence* I decided to pay heed to Mr Crow and look closer at him.
