First... did you sing the title? The Heat Is On by Glen Frey? Not much else to talk about. Another blustery hot day - the car was actually getting pushed around a bit while I was driving... not a friendly sensation. Also, my left arm, actually, the entire left side of me is getting way more sun then the right side because that is the side always facing the sun on my commute. I noticed that in the shower, my tan is distinctly darker on one half of me. I need to fix that before I start getting funny looks LOL
A few posts ago, I posted a picture of a banana that must have been murdered months ago. Then, today, I found this. It is a travesty that banana's can't wander safely around here - what is this world coming too?
Another busy day at work, only 2 weeks or so til The Red Dot Auction at The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity. It is going to be a lot of fun - I even did a piece - not telling which one but it's in the first group of canvases listed. You should buy a ticket or two and come by, enjoy the art, meet some great people and help support the center!
More photos of the day down below!
Isn't that how it always goes? I went to B&N to pick up the Digital Studios magazine and on my way back to the magazine section found myself picking up several books that just about screamed my name.
I have read one Philippa Gregory book before, her "The Other Boleyn Girl" and loved it. She has such a knack for writing in several voices and making them all believable. So, I wanted to try another.
The "Painted Girls," is about the lives of two girls who start off in ballet and one ends up posing for Degas. It sounded interesting and I am trying to branch out and read books I normally wouldn't pick.
"The Discovery of Witches" just sounds good.
Well, I did manage to get the one thing I went for :P
It's my night to be creative, so I will use Digital Studios to guide me on my way... if I can put the other books down, that is ;)
Well, you can't see it, but behind the tallest power pole, there was a gorgeous vertical rainbow on my drive home. If I had had my camera out I probably could have captured it, but as I was driving and not wanting to die in a fiery crash, I snapped it with my iphone camera.
c'est la vie
Spent the day getting ready for the Red Dot Auction at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity on May 9!
