This weekend was a strange one. Since deciding to pay more attention to "coincidences," they have been popping up like crazy.
First the songs. Popping into my head, Welcome to the House of Fun. Then the next night, a song I rarely pay any attention to, it's just one of those songs that they play on the radio, Take Me Home, or a song that has that line in it, only I cannot figure out WHO sings it LOL I may have to download Soundhound and hum it, but it's been popping into my head on and off since Sunday. So, house and home. Running theme. Next up is me reading the rest of Side walk Oracle and the author is talking about a time he flew to Bozeman Montana for a group thing. I read the sentence that said Montana and my phone rang at that exact same moment... a robocall, from.... MONTANA. Mkay, if that isn't the Universe saying HELLO, LOLOL So, I am now keeping an eye out for what? Homes in Montana? I'm game ;) Some photos of my Rose.... I got the plant for my birthday back in March and it was touch and go at first to see if she was going to make it. I am horrible at keeping roses alive BUT look at her. She has at least 10 more buds ready to bloom and she is doing wonderfully! BTW I took those rose photos in my room which was quite a bit aways from the plant. My Zoom lens is awesome. Also a photo of Amelia the cactus in the sun.

No, no not that creepy Jigsaw game. *shudder* But games with coincidences and synchronicities. I am about halfway through Sidewalk Oracles and there is so much information to play with. The author gives a lot of things to think about synchronicity and paying attention to the world around you. One of the games I am trying out is listening to the various kledons, a kind of divination based on chance events or encounters, such as words occasionally uttered. The Ancient Romans did this all the time, seeing signs in all things and then using them as an augury. These can be words you hear someone saying to another person, or a song bite that gets stuck in your head in the morning. Dreams, stories, one liners etc. What I am doing is collecting at least one a day and writing it on an index card and then putting it in a box. After a few months of collecting, I will have a box of ready to go "oracle cards." Which will end up working just like a store bought set of cards, except it will be more personal as I made it with things personal to me. You ask your question for guidance and then pull a card. The reason I am waiting for a few months is that I want to kind of forget what I wrote, so they don't seem too familiar. You can also do this as a sort of party game with a group of people. Have each person write on an index card, a story, or song snippet, line of poetry etc. Then collect all the cards. Then each person asks for guidance and pulls one of the index cards and sees how it relates to their question. Anyway, it just struck me that there are a LOT of *coincidences* and things that are very synchronous in the world and it might be interesting to follow them for awhile. You never know where it may lead. I started today because I woke up with a song in my head that I hadn't heard in a long time and decided I wanted to see if I could use those words to stay mindful during the day... If you have any one-liners, snippets, stories or songs that have struck you as meaningful leave them in the comments so I can add them to my oracle deck!
