So, I have been re-reading the Harry Potter Saga during the day. I love that story!! But at night, this past week, I have put LOST on my PC before going to bed, to give my mind something to do instead of run around on the hamster wheel of stress. It's quite helpful that way. BUT!
The combination of the two will give one some incredibly funny dreams. I don't recall them clearly but I do know that seeing Harry, Ron and Hermione on the LOST Island was funny! I do wish I could have envisioned them, wands against the Smoke Monster! Once, when I was really sick and watching LOST all night, I dozed into this weird dream of Charlie, Locke, Hurley and Michael, all on the shore of the Island, where there were a lot of large rocks and they were doing stuff that hadn't been seen on the show. So, in my fevered mind, I half asleep and half awake, thought to myself, "OMG THE CAST IS GETTING BACK TOGETHER TO FILM NEW SCENES!!!" Not lost footage mind, which would make more sense LOL, but I went straight to recalling the entire cast so they could film new stuff. Fever dreams are almost as amusing as stress dreams! I wonder if Avada Kedavra would have worked on old Smoke Monster...

Scene of the crime: Back corner of the yard. Please excuse the deadness, it's been a horribly hot summer.
So, I was chatting with a friend yesterday and all of a sudden I hear some weird crackly, stompy, crunchy noises. Now, I am used to all sorts of noises from these neighbors of mine, but this was an entirely new set and it took me a minute to get up and peek out the window. Then I just sort of stared. I was so taken aback that I totally forgot to grab my phone and snap a photo. Dangit. The annoying neighbor lady actually used a step ladder, to climb over the fence, which by the way is literally like 2 feet high, so I am not sure why she needed a ladder, she climbed over the fence into my yard and started picking up the crap fruit, from her crap tree, that fell in the yard. As you can see, her crap tree doesn't even really hang over the fence much, so I really can't see how much fruit she was harvesting from my side of the fence. I guess she just felt entitled to it. Doesn't much surprise me though. These people have no self awareness that anyone else might live around them and don't like to hear their constant power drill noises and loud voices, well into the night. *sigh* I really need to set up some sort of cam so I can share all the neighbors idiocies online. At least it would take "annoying," and move it into "shareably amusing." And here is a very blurry photo of a weency fat birb sitting outside my window. He was practically vibrating - hence the blurry photo.
Living in the densely packed city, it isn't often I get to hear the soothing sounds of nature. Here I am more apt to hear people yelling, cars backfiring, random illegal fireworks and or gunshots and jet planes screeching overhead. *meh* Also, there is Crack Cricket, which I suppose counts as "nature," but he makes it really hard to fall asleep at night. I digress. Lack of Nature has a tendency to make me cranky but then I realized, I actually do hear birds. It's just these birds have so adapted to their nature surroundings that they don't actually sound like birds anymore. The one I took a photo of sounds exactly like my neighbors annoying car when he revs it for hours at a time, filling the house with carbon monoxide as he plays with the engine. There are also birds that sound like car alarms and people yelling too. *sigh* When nature sounds start to sound like people sounds - it's time to find a nice cave somewhere in the desert. I was trying to get a decent night of sleep - HA! That will teach me.
I live in a very noisy area. Neighbors either have zero self awareness or they just plain don't care about how much noise they make - I am guessing most are in the second category. Let's use power tools at 12:30 at night cause that will be fun! Sigh So, after a night of bumps, bangs and power drills, I am now trying to set up my etsy shop - my logical mind is a puddle of goo but I am powering through as best I can. I am also pondering how much violence I can inflict on my idiot neighbors without any jail time. Womp Womp So, coming soon an esty shop! Stay tuned! And this was just Michaels! I went there looking for a novelty Tarot deck they sell or sold, rather. They were all out. *sad face*
But look at all the fun stuff - I wanted to get the Carnival of the Dead figures and set but where would I even put that? I did buy some paper ephemera to make cards out of and unbeknownst to me, one of the pads of paper had Tarot card designs on them - SCORE. I am still sad they sold out of the deck, it wasn't a full one, only 21 cards, but I did love the art on them. Ah well. If anyone visits a Michaels and sees the deck, it is located in the scrapbooking section, on an end cap, I will buy it from you! Coming up.... Spirit Halloween store visit! Halloweeeeeeeen! It's roughly the temperature of the sun today so yes, let's think Halloween decor and go to Hobby Lobby to cool off and have some fun. I don't care how people-y a Hobby Lobby is because unlike most places with too many people, everyone at Hobby Lobby is pleasant to be around. I went to look for things to make Halloween ornaments but got side-tracked by all the SHINY THINGS. I did end up getting a case of clear empty ornaments to fill up but got sand and Yule type filler for them since they didn't really have what I was looking for - bats and skulls etc. I think I need a Michael's trip for that one. *shudder* that place always smell of cinnamon x 10000000000. At the check out the cashier and the woman in front of me both stopped what they were doing to look at my stuff and ask what I was up to with it - any other place, that would annoy me - here, I was all YAY, I am making all the things and they got all excited with me and thought I was creative and told me they would totally buy what I am making and that, is a perfect way to start the day! So. Many. Nutcrackers. *blinkblink*
They may be Christmas Decorations but they still scare me silly. I HATE Nutcracker things. My Dad has a few of them and the creep me out. He didn't get why until one day, they were out and coming back kind of late in the evening. So, I took all his Nutcrackers and lined them up in the back hallway in a menacing formation, to await his homecoming. *snort* He totally freaked out when he saw them there HA! Hobby Lobby seems to have a few billion of them for sale. Maybe I'll get one for my Dad LOL |
