Letters From the Thoth Tarot
Prince of Wands This card is Crowley's idealized image of himself. It has his Mark of the Beast on the chest of the Prince and he is seated in Crowley's favorite yogic posture, the Thunderbolt asana. And because Crowley identified so strongly with this card he has a lot to say about its symbolism: Often violent in expressions of opinion but he doesn't necessarily hold the opinion he is so emphatic about. He is very noble and generous and can be an extravagant boaster. Strong in courage and indefatigable endurance - he is always fighting against the odds and always wins in the long (long) run. There is so much energy crackling off this card and a day with the wands in it is a grab hold and get things done sort of time. This Prince can be likened to Julius Caesar, John Dee, Jacqueline Kennedy or Nelson Mandela. Charismatic, strong willed, full of life and a generous heart. Grab the confidence of this card and stand strong in your own power - you have no limits and this boundless energy is always there for you to work with.
