Letters From the Thoth Tarot
(May I point out that this is one of my favorite illustrations from the Voynich Manuscript? The root heads crack me up) Seven of Swords I never resonated with this card in the RWS deck, yet here, the Thoth makes a bit more sense to me. I like what Crowley observes, "it's like a rheumatic boxer trying to come back after being out of the ring for years." And I love Harris's art - a sort of planetary battle, the hilts have the symbols for Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn, the Sun in the middle. It is a very neat and orderly card even if the background looks a bit fractured and unsure of itself and that is what this card can indicate. Being overwhelmed, too many thoughts and we battle with our thoughts. We may be willing to just compromise over things just to make them go away. The best thing to do here is to focus on one thing at a time and stay centered and balanced. There are easy days and hard days and we just need to get through them as they come. Don't give up because as tired as you might be, you are probably almost to your goal and you just can't see it.
