Daily Mindfulness
Eternal Love - This card is a reminder that love is the most powerful force in the universe - (remember Harry Potter's Mum saved his life with love!) Love lingers even after death - something to think about every day we have on this Earth. 3 of Swords - This just looks painful... at first. But when broken down, it is easier to deal with. Swords are about thinking - so something in our thoughts has caused us pain. So, what in our thinking is causing us to hurt? When we can see what our thoughts are doing then we can try to stop that train of thought. Release the painful thoughts and replace them with positive healing ones. Alien - (I have to admit, I have been looking forward to seeing this card since I bought the deck LOL) So, Aliens show up and at first many many bad things happen. Your kid hides him in the closet or you end up building mountains out of mashed potatoes at dinner. But eventually, you find a way to communicate with your Alien and find a way to help it home. Communication! So today, keep your thoughts in a peaceful order and try to do things with love and compassion. Otherwise, you may end up with a thing bursting out of your chest or perhaps a uncomfortable probe stuck somewhere....

Jaguar Medicine is about integrity. It is about devouring the unclean aspects of human behavior. Jaguar teaches us the penalties of bad behavior and offers rewards of good medicine to those who stand in their personal integrity.
If Jaguar visits you it may be rewarding you for maintaining your integrity in a situation where you could have abused your authority. It is always best to not pass judgements on another or to be self-serving. Be kind to others and help even when it is unexpected. Be your personal best at all times. Maintain your dignity and compassion and honesty no matter what contrary influences are happening. Jaguar knows mistakes happen and that is ok. Embrace forgiveness and make self-directed corrections so you can rebalance your spirit and triumph once again. Daily Mindfulness
Graveyard - This warns us of being unnecessarily fearful of things. (which is really funny considering I was pondering something that made me edgy when I was shuffling the cards) We can have very real anxiety but should try and put them aside and/or work with them properly, so they don't haunt us all the time. Trust yourself. You know what needs to happen and when. Queen of Swords - This is a sharp one who has things under control. Clearheaded and decisive. Impartial judgement, interested in the truth and a fair authority figure. See things with clarity and be sure to draw your boundaries! Amazon - A tribe of badass women warriors. The real Amazons were long believed to be imaginary. They were the mythical warrior women who were the archenemies of the ancient Greeks. Every Greek hero or champion, from Hercules to Theseus and Achilles, had to prove his mettle by fighting a powerful warrior queen. There is a LOT of thought about who these women were and Google can help if you are interested, but for us, this is to say: Channel your Inner Xena today. Things may seem overwhelming at times and we may want to hide our heads under a nice comfy pillow. DO NOT. Channel your Inner Xena, power up your kinda silly war cry and let it loose. Set your boundaries and see things as they really are. Trust yourself! You are a badass! Daily Mindfulness
Vampire - If this card finds you today, it is letting you know you are being drained in some way and you need to set stronger boundaries for yourself. Be aware of who and what you are giving your time and energy to. Use your emotional intelligence to defend yourself against those who would take your energy, build your boundaries and find healthy and equal relationships. Strength - Confident, courageous and caring. Using a deep inner strength and having control of yourself. Self empowered, solid and reliable. Manticore - It is often said that the beast had the head of a man, the body of a lion, and the tail of a scorpion. The beast was supposedly known to have incredible speed that not even the fastest man could compete with.It was claimed that the manticore lured people in by laying in tall grass or reeds. This would hide its magnificent body and show only the head of what appeared to be a bearded man. Many victims were said to have ventured too close to the beast, only to be devoured by its three rows of sharp teeth. He was a sly one and didn't always need to use his brute strength to get what he wanted... So today is a day of using your inner strength to set boundaries for yourself. Find equal relationships in others and not be taken advantage of. I guess in the case of finding out someone is taking advantage of your good nature, you could maybe channel your inner manticore and take a swipe at them ;) Daily Mindfulness
Black Cat: Here we have good luck and fortune coming our way soon. And our luck today will be luckier if we are prepared to take advantage of all the opportunities that come our way. Keep an eye out!! Today is your day! The Chariot! - A Great card to go with Black Cat! Here we have movement and momentum. Control and self-control over any situation. Today you choose where to go - so pick a path and get ready for success! Centaur - they are half-human, half-horse with the body of a horse and the torso, head and arms of a man. Most centaurs were depicted as lustful and wild, Chiron was a notable exception - said to be modest and civilised, he was known for his medicinal skills and teaching abilities. So saddle up your inner Chiron and gallop down the trail to learning and knowledge! Today is Situation/Challenge
Situation: Nine of Pentacles - Today is about enjoying life! You have taken the time and effort to create lovely things and now those lovely things are yours to enjoy! You have been self-sufficient and dedicated to the tasks at hand and now it is time to enjoy all you have created. Frankenstein - Well, Victor created his "monster," and not everyone understood him. Eventually it got a bride out of the deal and then a son... I think it may even have met Abbott and Costello at some point. So, get out there and enjoy all the goodness life has - don't let your inner monster get you down. Challenge: Eight of Cups - You are on a journey, coming and going - and sometimes you have to leave or take a break from something to clear your head. Sometimes you need to be alone and sometimes you just need a new creative outlet. But you are not burning any bridges by doing so, you're just venturing outside your comfort zone for awhile. Recharge yourself and know you will be safe while you do so. Pirate - These guys are always coming and going - out to sea for awhile then back into town to enjoy the booze and what not. Although I have the suspicion that many pirates burned A LOT of bridges before leaving town, a few of them were gentlemanly enough to leave things as they were, (history is a little fuzzy here) So, today is a day to enjoy and let your inner monster loose for awhile, you have worked hard and earned it. Steer clear of pillaging and plundering and rifling and looting - unless you are at Disneyland and riding fun rides. Today is Situation/Challenge
Situation: King of Wands - Fiery wands and the focus of the Kings...A great leader with strength and nobility. Confident and controlled with their emotions and has mastered his passions. Willing to take chances and leads the way if no one else steps in. How can I guide myself to channel my passions and have the most productive emotions? Anubis: God of embalming and watching over the dead. He ushered souls into the afterlife and attended the weighing of the heart - to see what happened to the soul. Protector of graves and cemeteries. Make sure your heart is light. Control yourself and be a strong and focused person - so your soul is lighter than the feather. Challenge: Ace of Swords - Symbol of possibility in intelligence, trust, clarity. Clear communication and using your mind to solve issues. View things with impartial clarity and rationality. The universe giving you a yes. Quezalcoatl - an Aztec sky and creator god often referred to as The Feathered Serpent . He was also the patron god of the Aztec priesthood, of learning and knowledge. Quezalcóatl became the god of the morning and evening star, and his temple was the centre of ceremonial life in Tula. Also a Wind God of learning, writing and books. So for today, lean more toward your passionate and creative side. Stay focused and channel your passions in a productive way. If choices are necessary, follow your passion then your brain. ;) Daily Mindfulness - Spirit Tarot Deck 2 card spread - Situation/Challenge for the Weekend!10/12/2018 Today is Situation/Challenge
Situation: Three of Wands - It is a time of trust and being patient. You have taken care of the details and now you need to relax and let it all unfold. Everything is coming together to give you the best possible outcome. Brownie: A brownie is a household spirit that comes out at night while people are asleep and does chores. The human owners of the house must leave a bowl of milk or some other offering for the brownie. They are described as easily offended and will leave their homes if they feel they have been insulted or given clothes by the family. So, don't upset your Dobby, he is doing all sorts of prep for you and is helping you get your stuff together. Challenge: King of Pentacles - This King has accumulated a lot of stuff - borderline hoarder here. But he did work hard for it and has built quite a collection. He enjoys pleasure and success and he doesn't back down from challenges. A successful and abundant leader who appreciates all of the senses. Leprechaun: A type of fairy, usually looking like a tiny green dressed man. They are solitary creatures who spend their time making and mending shoes and have a hidden pot of gold. If caught by a human, they are said to offer three wishes for their freedom. They don't much like giving up that hoarded gold, so keep an eye out for them. So this weekend, try to relax, let things happen as they will and know your Dobby will have it all ready when you need it. Maybe clean out the closet and give some unneeded stuffs away or share some of your wealth with others so you don't get bogged down in all that gold. (I have no idea why my photos show up sideways, but if you click them, they pop up correctly)
Today is Situation/Challenge Situation: Queen of Pentacles - The lady of abundance and sharing. She is generous and loves to share her bounty with others. She can manifest what she needs and is unselfish in nature. She values her gifts and shares them with others with love. Dryad - are nymphs or tree spirits. They exist to watch over the tree they are born with and in rare cases, groves and other creatures. They are not something to be taken lightly but are deserving of the respect granted to any divine being. They bring a sense of life and natural being to the places their trees inhabit and are mysterious and unique. One of my favorite stories is about Eurydice, , an oak Dryad who fell in love with Orpheus. One day a snake bit her and she died. Orpheus was heartbroken and convinced Hades to let her go. Hades agreed but said if Orpheus looked back even once to see if she was following, she would never be released from the Underworld. Just as Orpheus was stepping out of the Underworld he felt a moment of doubt and looked back. Eurydice was not quite at the threshold and was swept back in. *cry* Challenge: Four of Swords - A reminder to get some rest and contemplation. Letting your racing thoughts quiet themselves. Now is the time for thinking, not acting. Slow down and be still. Find serenity and seek stillness - the perfect place to create dreams. Vampire - creatures of the night, the undead. Spend the night hours looking for food and fun. But need to be back in bed before the sun comes up. In relation to the 4 of swords, I think of Lestat de Lioncourt - who tended to think about things philosophically. I guess if a vampire needed to pass some time waiting for the sun to set, he could ponder the deeper meanings of life... or death? So today we need to fight the urge to withdraw and be more open and sharing with others. This can be hard if we naturally tend to introversion (ME) but you have great gifts and now is the time to get them into the open! (I have no idea why my photos show up sideways, but if you click them, they pop up correctly)
Today is Situation/Challenge Situation: The Hermit! Today is a day for inner knowledge - solitude. Checking in with yourself. What can you do to bring more solitude into your life right now? Inner thought will bring more wisdom. YETI! A legend, the abominable snowman is an ape-like entity that is said to inhabit the Himalayan area of Nepal and Bhutan. (Can also be spotted on the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland if you look for him on the bumpy curve!) Very little evidence has ever been captured as this Yeti loves his privacy. So, if people try to bug you today, give out a roar and hide in the nearest cave! Challenge: Knight of Wands - I always think of this guy as the love knight LOL Charisma and a wanderlust for adventure - irresistible to others, attracts people and loves new things. A networking kind of guy who loves connecting to others. Hanuman - I'm sorry, but this one looks way too much like Homer Simpson and I can't stop giggling. *okayokay* His origins are unclear but he is viewed as the ideal combination of "strength, heroic initiative and assertive excellence" and "loving, emotional devotion to his personal god Rama." He has been the patron god of martial arts such as wrestling, acrobatics, as well as meditation. He symbolizes the human excellences of inner self-control, faith and service to a cause, hidden behind the first impressions of a being who looks like a monkey - and also Homer Simpson. So, the challenge is taming the inner love monkey and finding a nice, quiet cave somewhere so you can get some quality "me time." |
