This medicine uses a lot of strategy - one of his greatest forms of protect is playing dead, which is done to confuse predators. Once they think he is dead, they leave and Opossum is free to amble away.
Right now, you are being asked to use strategy in a present situation. Use your instincts and intuition if things get to feeling a little too hard to handle. Even if you have to pretend to to unafraid, fake it til you feel it! Be ready to expect the unexpected and find clever ways to achieve victory.
Native Spirit Oracle
This is reminding you to speak your truth - communicate from the heart and don't be shy! Now is the time to stand tall and communicate! This restores trust and allows clarity. Also, remember to share the heavy things that darken the heart even if you are afraid - speak the truth without fear so that healing can occur!
These two work well together - being brave, standing tall and using clever tactics to maybe outsmart your brain if it is holding you back.
Note the awesome paint by numbers hummingbird I did in the background there ;)

Hummingbird gives us magical living, so pass that magic on!
Native Spirit Oracle - Trickster
This card tells us to look beneath the surface of things. Don't take everything at face value. It also reminds us to try and find the humor in difficult situations, especially if it's something we have to deal with, why not make it as bearable as possible?
The Coyote is also the Trickster in many indigenous traditions. There is a lighthearted aspect to Coyote but also be aware and tread carefully - as said before, things are not always as they seem. Coyote reminds us to see ourselves in a new way, break old routines and habits and never let yourself go stagnant.
When Coyote medicine is coming your way it could be "good," or "bad," depending on your viewpoint but again, remember to face it with humor and goodwill. There are lessons to be learned if we stay focused and don't become overwhelmed.
When things get crazy we can use Coyote Medicine - laughter, especially at ourselves. Don't get so serious that you miss the point. Lighten up, find the positive side and have some fun.
Native Spirit Oracle Card: White Buffalo
All things are possible right now. There is abundance, balance and harmony in your life. You may be asked to stand up for others and you can do this because you have the support of the spirit realm behind you. A legend says White Buffalo Calf Woman gifted the people a sacred bundle containing The Sacred Pipe to help restore balance. Upon leaving, she said she would return at the end of an age and appear as a White Buffalo Calf.
When this card chooses you, it speaks of miracles and balance. If you open yourself up, you become a channel for all the spirits in the Universe and with their help, all is possible. The energy from this card is amazing - let yourself channel the Buffalo and feel that power.
Buffalo Medicine/Animal Spirit:
All animals are sacred, but the White Buffalo was the most sacred. A sign that prayers are being heard, a time of abundance and plenty. The Buffalo was a major food source for the Plains Indians - as well as being used for clothing, The medicine is prayer and gratitude for all the gifts received from Buffalo. This abundance is present when all relations are honored and thanks expressed for every living thing.
Energy is grounded in the Earth but its heart and mind rise to the Heavens. The Buffalo sees challenges and hardships as an opportunity for learning and growth, it does not fear misfortune but trusts that all things will continue forward as it should. This trust is a gift - trust in yourself and the spirits of all your relations.
Buffalo medicine reminds you that you achieve nothing without the aid of Great Spirit and you should be humble enough to ask for assistance and be grateful for what you receive.
I like to use a card each day for a mindfulness prompt and general direction for my thoughts.
Lately it's been, "what direction?" type things.
I pulled the Ace of Swords - which is pretty awesome... strong conquests, evaluation and choices of the direction you want to go and to channel your energies that way.
I asked for some clarification - as to WHAT I should be concentrating on... I have all these ideas but need to narrow my major, so to speak...
I pulled :
7 of cups.
Yowza and a great answer!
A nice active card, in hope, energy and new creative/artistic projects. Persevere, think things through and then go.
