Is this the perfect Mother's Day draw or what? And no, I didn't rig the draw, this deck knows its business.

The Empress
At the moment in time depicted on the card, Daenerys is the perfect Empress, mother of Dragons and called Mhysa (mother) - she was a caring, competent and loving Mother, cared about all the people and wanted to break the wheel, so that everyone could live safely and without fear.  So we will stick with that symbolism and not delve into where Dany is right now, which is about 2 steps away from going bat shit crazy like her Targaryen ancestors, and damn anyone who gets in her way ;) Although, you know, many moms might exhibit the same attitude if the ones they love are in danger... so you know, it's all a part of Mom. Dracarys!

Protection/Bay Leaves
This card reminds us that we are all protected by higher forces and we are never alone. 

So today, is all about Mom. That loving energy that is protective and compassionate and kind.  This is the type of energy that will move mountains to protect what is hers - so cherish it and don't piss it off - you get your mouth soaped out for that sort of thing ;)
