This card comes as a reminder that we have unlimited strength reserves always ready for us. Everything that we have done in life, all the trials and frustrations, have taught us much and we carry that with us everywhere we go. When we think we can't go on, when we start with negative talk, or the Shadow side starts to get a bit uppity, remember, you can do this. You can always do this.
Four of Cups
This card has a heavy feel to it after the lightness of the three. The sky is darker and the sea is restless while the cups are just overflowing and slowly sinking lower. Also, the wilted lotus at the top, which is pouring out the water just looks sad and about to run out of its supply. You have reached a plateau here, what you really wanted you gained and now everything is sort of comfortable? Boring? Too much? Not exciting the way it used to be. With all the emotions flooding over it might be hard to breathe at the moment.
So together , this is a time for not taking things for granted or thinking it will always be there, because you never know. Celebrate the love, strength and people, you do have while you have it and remember that self love is just as important to keep strong.
